Job Summary

We are looking for a ServiceNow ITOM Developer with 2-6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules, particularly Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and CMDB.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, integrating and supporting ITOM solutions to improve infrastructure visibility, service health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, customize and develop ServiceNow ITOM solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Work on ServiceNow Discovery, including Discovery Schedules, Credentials, MID Server, Discovery Patterns, Probes and Sensors.
- Configure and maintain Service Mapping to identify application and infrastructure dependencies.
- Work on Event Management, including event ingestion, event rules, alert management, CI binding and event correlation.
- Maintain and enhance CMDB, including CI classes, relationships, identification and reconciliation.
- Work with MID Servers and troubleshoot connectivity, credential and discovery-related issues.




- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party monitoring/infrastructure tools using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and CMDB-related issues.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow scripts using JavaScript where required.
- Work with infrastructure, network, application and cloud teams to resolve ITOM-related technical issues.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to CI discovery, duplicate CIs, incorrect relationships and failed discovery.
- Support CMDB data quality, accuracy and governance initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
- Follow ServiceNow development and implementation best practices.

Required Skills

- 26 years of experience in ServiceNow development/ITOM.
- Hands-on experience with one or more ITOM modules, preferably:
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- CMDB

- Good understanding of MID Server architecture and configuration.
- Knowledge of Discovery Patterns, Probes, Sensors and Discovery Schedules.
- Understanding of Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and CI identification.
- Knowledge of CI classes, relationships and CMDB data model.
