Key responsibilities

- Strong experience in Sheet Metal Product Design and development.
- Hands-on expertise in designing sheet metal products using Unigraphics (NX), SolidWorks, or similar CAD software with proficiency in Modeling, Surfacing, Drafting, and Assembly.
- Thorough knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, including bending, punching, laser cutting, welding, deep drawing, and fabrication.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal tooling, dies, fixtures, and process optimization.
- Expertise in material selection for sheet metal products such as Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, and Copper.
- Knowledge of sheet metal defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ability to create and interpret 2D drawings, GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience in reverse engineering and value engineering of sheet metal products.
- Ability to create and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials)



and engineering documentation.
- Valuable understanding of measuring instruments and quality inspection standards.

Competencies / Skills

- Advanced knowledge of Sheet Metal Design, Tooling, and Manufacturing Processes.
- Expertise in Sheet Metal Materials (SS, MS, Aluminium, Brass, Copper).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T;, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Proficiency in 2D Drawing Creation and Interpretation.
- Experience in product development from concept to production.

Experience:

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Sheet Metal Product Design and Development.
- Experience in designing consumer durables, kitchenware, home appliances, or engineering products made from sheet metal will be preferred.
