Assistant Manager SAP FICO / IT

Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – SAP FICO / IT with 4–6 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance support, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. The role will be responsible for SAP FI/CO support, finance process integration, taxation, user authorization, system enhancements, audit compliance and coordination with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will work closely with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing and IT teams to understand business requirements, resolve SAP issues and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

SAP FICO Functional Support

- Provide functional support for SAP S/4HANA FI and CO modules.
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting processes.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support Cost Centre, Profit Centre, Product Costing, Internal Order Budgeting and Profitability Analysis.
- Provide timely resolution of SAP issues and escalations within defined SLAs.
- Support finance users and senior Finance stakeholders on SAP-related requirements.

Finance Process & Integration

- Design and support end-to-end finance processes in SAP.
- Work on integration across P2P and O2C processes.
- Coordinate with MM, PP, SD and PS teams for cross-module integration and issue resolution.
- Support CAPEX and OPEX business processes.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into functional/system specifications.

Taxation & Statutory Processes

- Support and configure GST, TDS and TCS requirements.
- Handle taxation-related configurations in MM/SD pricing.
- Support GST reporting, TDS/TCS processes and E-Invoicing.
- Ensure SAP processes are aligned with applicable statutory requirements.

SAP Security & Basis Support

- Support user role creation and authorization assignments.
- Identify and resolve SOD (Segregation of Duties) conflicts.
- Work on Transport Requests and basic SAP Basis activities.




- Working knowledge of SAP transactions such as PFCG, SUIM and SM20.
- Support SAP access and authorization-related requirements.

SAP Integration & Technical Support

- Work with ALE/IDOC, EDI/IDOC and API integrations with third-party systems.
- Working knowledge of BAPI, LSMW and Module Pool.
- Perform basic ABAP debugging for issue analysis.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori, SAP BTP and SAP Analytics will be an added advantage.
- Support SAP Master Data-related activities.

Change Management & Audit Compliance

- Establish and monitor SAP Change Management and governance mechanisms.
- Coordinate system changes, testing and deployment activities.
- Identify impacted SOPs and ensure appropriate process documentation.
- Support and lead IT/SAP system audit compliance activities.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and audit requirements.

Stakeholder & Team Management

- Lead and coordinate cross-module teams for SAP initiatives.
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales and IT teams.
- Provide support and guidance to SAP end users and finance data-entry operators.
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly while interacting with senior Finance teams.

Educational Qualification

- CA / CA Inter
- Commerce Graduate
- MBA – Finance
- Any Graduate with relevant SAP FICO experience

Experience

4–6 years of relevant experience

Pharmaceutical industry experience will be preferred.
