Job Description Assistant Manager / Manager Direct Taxation

Location: Mumbai
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) First Attempt / Second Attempt
Experience: 36 years in Direct Taxation

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle end-to-end direct tax compliance and advisory assignments for clients.
- Manage income tax return preparation, review and filing for companies and individuals.
- Handle tax assessments, notices, appeals and related proceedings before tax authorities.
- Provide advisory on corporate tax, TDS, tax planning and other direct tax matters.
- Conduct tax reviews and identify potential tax exposures and opportunities.
- Assist in tax audits and preparation/review of tax audit reports.
- Research and interpret provisions of the Income Tax Act, rules, circulars and judicial pronouncements.




- Manage client relationships and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review work performed by junior team members and provide guidance.
- Support business development initiatives and prepare technical proposals/presentations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3–6 years of relevant experience in Direct Taxation.
- CA qualified in first or second attempt.
- Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act and direct tax regulations.
- Positive analytical, communication and client-handling skills.
- Prior experience in a CA firm, consulting firm or corporate tax function will be preferred.
