About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification to join our Quality / New Part Development team.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in an automotive quality department, new part development, quality audits, customer complaint handling, and automotive core quality tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Quality Assurance activities .
- Conduct Process Audits, Product Audits, Internal Audits, and Supplier Audits.
- Plan, conduct, and support audits as per IATF 16949 requirements.
- Identify quality risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
- Handle customer complaints, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Support continuous improvement of product and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain quality records and documentation related to new part development and production.
Mandatory Qualification & Certification
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an automotive quality department
- IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certified – Mandatory
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and automotive quality requirements
Quality Tools & Core Tools
Candidate should have practical knowledge of:
- APQP – Advanced Product Quality Planning
- PPAP – Production Part Approval Process
- FMEA – Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
- SPC – Statistical Process Control
- MSA – Measurement System Analysis
- Control Plan
- 7 QC Tools
- Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
Technical & Software Skills
- Basic knowledge of 2D & 3D Engineering Drawings
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD – Optional
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Good email communication and documentation skills
- Valuable written and spoken English
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in automotive manufacturing .
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949
- Certified IATF 16949 Internal Auditor
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently conduct and document audits
- Good communication and coordination skills with production, suppliers, and customers
- Candidates residing near the facility will be preferred
