Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Commi 1 – Continental Chef to join the kitchen team at a concept bar & restaurant in Kalyani Nagar, Pune.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in continental and bar-food preparation, including appetizers, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, grills, sauces, sides, and plated mains. The ideal candidate should be quick during service, hygienic, disciplined, and capable of maintaining consistent taste, portioning, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare continental dishes including appetizers, salads, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, grills, sides, sauces, and basic mains.
- Handle daily mise-en-place including cutting, chopping, marination, sauce preparation, portioning, garnishes, and section setup.
- Support smooth kitchen operations during lunch, dinner, events, and late-night bar service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, quality, plating, and presentation.
- Follow standard recipes and instructions from the CDP / Sous Chef / Head Chef.
- Operate equipment such as grillers, fryers, ovens, salamanders, induction units, and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Maintain proper storage, labelling, FIFO, and stock rotation.
- Follow hygiene, cleanliness, grooming, and food safety standards at all times.
- Keep the assigned section, workstation, refrigerators, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
- Inform senior chefs about low stock, wastage, spoilage, breakage, or equipment issues.




- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for timely order execution.
- Assist in opening, closing, cleaning, and preparation duties.
- Support junior kitchen staff and helpers when required.

Candidate Requirements:

- Prior experience as Commi 1, Commi 2, Continental Cook, or Kitchen Associate preferred.
- Good practical knowledge of continental cuisine and bar-food preparation.
- Experience with pastas, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads, sauces, grills, and plating preferred.
- Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and bar kitchen.
- Must be clean, punctual, disciplined, and team-oriented.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays, split shifts, and late-night operations.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel/relocate to Kalyani Nagar, Pune.

Qualification:

Minimum 10th / 12th pass.
Hotel management or culinary background preferred but not mandatory.
