Production Engineer – Oil & Gas & Marine

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Production Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Gas and Marine industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities, monitoring work progress, managing resources, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

This position is suitable for young engineers who are eager to develop their technical knowledge, production planning skills, and project execution experience in a challenging industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve project targets and delivery schedules.

* Coordinate with production supervisors, technicians, welders, fitters, and other shop-floor personnel to ensure smooth workflow.

* Monitor production progress and identify delays, resource shortages, and operational issues.

* Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, maintenance, and warehouse departments.

* Ensure the availability of raw materials, consumables, tools, and equipment required for production.

* Monitor manpower utilization, labor productivity, material consumption, and equipment performance.

* Ensure that production activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

* Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality documentation with the QA/QC department.

* Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work requirements, as applicable.

* Prepare daily production reports, work progress updates, and other required documentation.

* Assist in production planning, scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation.

* Identify opportunities to improve productivity, minimize material wastage, reduce rework, and optimize production processes.

* Support project completion, final inspections, testing,



and handover activities, where applicable.

* Perform other production-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.

* Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply.

* Basic understanding of engineering drawings, production processes, fabrication, mechanical systems, or industrial operations.

* Knowledge of the Oil & Gas, marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, piping, or fabrication industry will be an advantage.

* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for production reporting and documentation.

* Familiarity with AutoCAD, ERP systems, or production planning tools will be an added advantage.
