Job Description – Test Automation Specialist (Playwright & AI-Assisted Development) Position Title Test Automation Specialist Location As per business requirement Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation. Education • Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. • Relevant certifications in test automation, software testing, or quality engineering will be an added advantage.

Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist with strong expertise in Playwright and hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants. The role will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing automated test frameworks to support quality engineering initiatives across web applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a quality-first mindset, strong automation skills, and experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate test automation delivery, improve code quality, and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated test frameworks using Playwright. • Create automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and smoke testing. • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test automation strategies. • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing. • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot,



or equivalent to improve automation development efficiency. • Review and optimize AI-generated code to ensure maintainability, reliability, and compliance with coding standards. • Analyze test execution results, investigate failures, and work with development teams to resolve defects. • Develop automation solutions for API, UI, and end-to-end business workflows. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies. • Maintain automation documentation, reusable libraries, standards, and best practices. • Contribute to automation strategy, framework improvements, and quality engineering transformation initiatives. • Mentor team members on automation best practices and emerging AI-assisted testing techniques.

Required Skills & Competencies Test Automation • Strong hands-on experience in Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript. • Experience in creating and maintaining robust automation frameworks. • Strong understanding of: o UI Automation Testing o API Testing o End-to-End Testing o Cross-browser Testing o Regression Automation o Data-driven and Keyword-driven Automation • Experience with test reporting and dashboarding tools. AI-Assisted Development • Hands-on experience using: o Claude Code o GitHub Copilot o Other AI-based coding assistants • Ability to effectively use AI tools for: o Test script generation o Test data creation o Automation framework development o Code optimization and refactoring o Test case generation and review • Understanding of governance, security, and quality considerations when using AI-generated code. Testing & Quality Engineering • Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.



• Knowledge of defect management and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or ALM. Technical Skills • JavaScript and/or TypeScript programming expertise. • Understanding of REST APIs and API automation testing. • Working knowledge of SQL and database validation. • Exposure to performance and security testing concepts is an advantage.

Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently and drive automation initiatives. • Continuous learning mindset with interest in AI-enabled software engineering. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. • ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Certification. • Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries. • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. • Knowledge of Shift-Left Testing and Quality Engineering practices.
