Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, disciplined, and caring Hostel Rector to manage the day-to-day operations of the school hostel. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring students' safety, discipline, personal well-being, and overall development while maintaining a positive, supportive, and structured hostel environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage the daily activities and routines of hostel students.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, cleanliness, and proper conduct among students.
- Ensure the safety, security, health, and well-being of all hostel residents.
- Monitor students' study hours, attendance, sleeping schedules, and daily routines.
- Coordinate with the school Principal, teachers, wardens, parents, and support staff.
- Address students' concerns and resolve minor conflicts in a fair and professional manner.
- Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and maintenance of hostel rooms and common areas.
- Monitor meals, recreation, and other hostel facilities.
- Maintain records of student attendance, leave requests, incidents, and hostel activities.
- Handle emergencies promptly and report significant issues to school management.
- Organize recreational activities and encourage students to develop good habits, responsibility, and teamwork.
- Ensure strict adherence to school policies, hostel rules, and child safety guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria





- Graduate in any discipline; candidates with relevant qualifications in education or hostel administration will be preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in hostel management, school administration, student supervision, or a similar role.
- Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage students with patience, empathy, and discipline.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and reports.
- A responsible attitude with a commitment to student safety and welfare.
- Willingness to stay on campus or work in shifts, as required by the school.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in a school or residential educational institution.
- Ability to handle student behavior and disciplinary matters effectively.
- Knowledge of student welfare, first aid, and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school management.
