# Senior Quality Control Engineer ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Senior Quality Control Engineer** to lead in-process and final quality control operations at our state-of-the-art Khalapur facility. This pivotal role will oversee quality across our diverse product lines, including Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Defence Systems, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE). The successful candidate will be a disciplined leader with a solid sense of ownership, responsible for inspection planning, QAP/ATP execution, vendor quality management, audit readiness, and driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards, mentoring a team of QC Engineers and Inspectors, and contributing directly to India's defence indigenisation mission. ## Key Responsibilities * Define and execute Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), and inspection plans for each project. * Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and customer inspections. * Drive towards zero major Non-Conformities (NCs) in internal and external audits and dispatches. * Lead in-process inspection regimens across fabrication, assembly, painting, and pre-dispatch stages. * Implement strategies to reduce internal and supplier rejection rates. * Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for recurring quality issues. * Lead supplier audits and maintain comprehensive quality scorecards. * Drive vendor CAPA and continuous improvement plans. * Coordinate closely with the Purchase department on supplier development initiatives. * Lead internal and external audit readiness preparations, ensuring compliance. * Maintain robust ISO and defence-grade quality documentation. * Drive calibration discipline and effective gauge control. * Mentor and develop QC Engineers and Inspectors, fostering a culture of excellence. * Drive training programs and skill matrix development within the quality team. * Lead Kaizen initiatives and digitalisation projects aimed at enhancing quality processes. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Education:** BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. * **Experience:** Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in quality control, preferably in manufacturing environments related to heavy engineering, defence, or aviation. * **Technical Skills:** * Proficiency in Quality Planning and Inspection Leadership. * In-depth knowledge of ISO Standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100D). * Strong understanding of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). * Expertise in Welding Inspection and Metrology.
