Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Databricks Data Engineer to join our on-site data management team. In this role, you will assist in developing, maintaining, and monitoring data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in Databricks who is looking to deepen their skills in modern cloud data engineering, Lakehouse architecture, and automated data processing.

Key Responsibilities

- Pipeline Maintenance & Building: Assist in designing, writing, and deploying batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and Databricks Workflows.
- Data Transformation: Write clean SQL queries and Python code to extract, transform, and load data from raw sources into enterprise data layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Databricks & Delta Lake Support: Work with Delta Lake tables to manage basic schema enforcement, perform data backfills, and verify data freshness.
- Data Quality & Bug Fixing: Troubleshoot pipeline failures, conduct sampling/reconciliation checks, and fix data processing errors under guidance from senior engineers.
- Documentation & Team Work: Maintain technical runbooks, dataset documentation, and collaborate in office with data analysts and team members.

Qualifications & RequirementsMust-Have (Required):

- Experience: Minimum 6+ months of practical/project experience using the Databricks platform.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong foundational knowledge of PySpark,



Python, and SQL.
- Basic understanding of Delta Lake principles (ACID transactions, structured streaming concepts).
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud data concepts (Azure / AWS / GCP storage).
- Work Arrangement: Full willingness to work on-site (In-Office) on a Monday to Friday + Alternate Saturday schedule.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience).

Nice-to-Have (Preferred):

- Familiarity with Git version control and writing basic SQL queries/stored procedures.
- Basic understanding of orchestration tools like Databricks Workflows or Azure Data Factory.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate (or working towards it).

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
