Job Description

Dr. Aravind’s IVF Fertility and Pregnancy Centre is looking for an OT Technician with hospital experience to support Operation Theatre activities and assist the clinical team in maintaining a safe and organized procedural environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled procedures.
- Check the availability and readiness of surgical instruments, equipment and required supplies.
- Assist doctors, nurses and other clinical staff during procedures as assigned.
- Handle, clean and sterilize instruments according to established protocols.
- Follow infection-control procedures and maintain OT hygiene.
- Ensure instruments and equipment are stored safely after use.
- Monitor OT consumables and inform the concerned team when replenishment is needed.
- Maintain OT registers, equipment records and other required documentation.




- Check equipment condition and report faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Assist with patient preparation and transfer according to clinical instructions.
- Coordinate with the nursing and clinical teams to support OT readiness.
- Follow hospital safety procedures and maintain patient confidentiality.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma or B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Previous hospital experience in an Operation Theatre is required.
- Knowledge of OT instruments, sterilization and infection-control practices.
- Ability to coordinate with doctors, nurses and other clinical staff.
- Positive communication and documentation skills.
- Responsible approach to equipment handling and patient safety.
- Immediate joiners required.
