About the Role

AWS Geek is looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer responsible for testing websites, web applications, and mobile applications developed by our engineering team. The candidate will ensure that new features, updates, and complete releases work as expected before they reach users.

The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for detail, logical problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify, document, and communicate software defects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Test newly developed features before they are released to production.
- Perform functional testing of websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and unexpected behaviour.
- Verify that reported bugs have been fixed by the development team.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new updates do not break existing functionality.
- Perform UI/UX testing to identify layout issues, broken links, inconsistent designs, and usability problems.
- Test applications across different browsers, devices, screen sizes, and operating systems.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
- Perform end-to-end testing of complete application workflows.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Conduct smoke testing and sanity testing after new builds and deployments.
- Ensure the application meets quality standards before final release.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and UI testing.
- Experience using bug-tracking and project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
- Ability to write clear test cases and detailed bug reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and SQL is an advantage.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman is a plus.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

- Candidates with experience testing websites, SaaS platforms, or mobile applications will be preferred.
- Freshers with solid fundamentals in software testing and practical project experience may also apply.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working closely with a development team.
- Should be able to independently test a feature and identify potential issues before release.
