Job Description

Jewel Child Development Centre is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will work with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. The role focuses on improving children's independence, sensory regulation, motor coordination, daily living skills, and overall functional development through individualized, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify children's sensory, motor, cognitive, and functional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy intervention plans based on each child's developmental goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based, child-centred approaches.
- Address sensory processing challenges and support the development of self-regulation skills.
- Improve fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, balance, and postural control.
- Support children in developing activities of daily living (ADL) skills, including dressing, feeding, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Enhance visual-motor integration, handwriting readiness, attention, and school-related functional skills.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate assessment reports, therapy documentation, and progress records.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, psychologists, behaviour therapists, special educators, and parents to ensure holistic child development.
- Provide parent education, home programmes,



and practical strategies to support children's development outside therapy sessions.
- Maintain a protected, engaging, and child-friendly therapeutic setting.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Mandatory Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT/BOT equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Preffered Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) will be an added advantage.
- Relevant skilled registration, where applicable.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in paediatric occupational therapy are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing difficulties will be preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, clinical reasoning, and observational skills.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and a passion for working with children.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of paediatric occupational therapy assessment and intervention techniques.
- Understanding of sensory integration principles and sensory-based interventions.
- Experience in fine motor development, gross motor coordination, and activities of daily living training.
- Ability to develop individualized therapy goals and monitor functional outcomes.
- Strong teamwork, documentation, and parent-counselling skills.
