About Us

La Liberté French Institute is one of the leading French language institutes in Pondicherry, providing high-quality French language training for beginners to advanced learners. We specialise in DELF, TEF Canada, TCF Canada and Spoken French, with both online and offline learning programmes.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated French Language Tutors for two roles:

- Offline Tutors to teach students in person at our Reddiarpalayam and Lawspet branches
- Online Tutors to teach live classes to students across India and abroad

Important Eligibility

Offline Tutors
✔ Only candidates currently residing in Pondicherry (Puducherry) can apply.
❌ Applications from other states will not be considered for the offline role.

Online Tutors
✔ Candidates from anywhere in India can apply.
✔ Must have a laptop or desktop computer, a stable high-speed internet connection, a good headset or microphone, and a quiet teaching space.

Job Responsibilities

- Teach French from Beginner (A1) to Intermediate (B2) levels.
- Conduct engaging classroom sessions (in person or live online).
- Teach grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Prepare students for DELF, TEF Canada and TCF Canada examinations.
- Correct assignments and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain student attendance and class discipline.
- Conduct revision sessions and mock tests.
- Encourage students to communicate confidently in French.
- Follow the institute’s syllabus and teaching methodology.




- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions when required (online tutors can join virtually).

Additional Responsibilities for Online Tutors

- Conduct live classes on Zoom, Google Meet or Google Classroom.
- Share study materials and assignments digitally.
- Keep students engaged and interactive in a virtual classroom.
- Join classes on time with a reliable setup and skilled background.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

- Minimum DELF B1 certification (B2 or above preferred), OR a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in French
- Excellent French grammar knowledge
- Clear and accurate French pronunciation and good spoken communication skills
- Good command of English for explaining concepts to beginners
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students

Preferred Skills

- Experience teaching DELF A1, A2, B1 and B2
- Experience preparing students for TEF Canada or TCF Canada
- Strong classroom management skills
- Friendly, patient and professional attitude
- Ability to motivate students
- Punctual and responsible
- Comfortable using PowerPoint, Google Classroom and Zoom (required for online tutors)
- Previous online teaching experience (for online tutors)

Experience

- Freshers with strong French proficiency may apply.
- 1–5 years of teaching experience is preferred.

Working Hours

- Monday to Friday
- Flexible full-time and part-time positions available
- Weekend classes may be scheduled based on batch requirements




- Online tutors may be assigned early morning or evening batches for working professionals and students in different time zones

Salary

Salary will be discussed during the interview and will depend on:

- Qualification
- French proficiency
- Teaching experience
- Demo class performance
- Role (online or offline) and number of teaching hours
