We are looking for a CNC Machine Operator to operate machines, monitor production and ensure components meet required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines as per production requirements.
- Load and unload components and monitor machining operations.
- Read engineering drawings and check component dimensions.
- Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Make tool and offset adjustments within authorised limits.
- Identify machining defects, tool wear and machine abnormalities.
- Perform routine machine checks and maintain production records.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ITI in Machinist,
Turner or a relevant trade; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may also be considered.
- Hands-on experience in CNC machine operation preferred.
- Basic understanding of CNC controls, tooling and machining processes.
- Ability to interpret drawings and work within specified tolerances.
- Attention to detail and a responsible approach to machine safety.
