Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced School Counsellor to support students'

academic progress, social-emotional development, and overall well-being. The candidate will

work closely with teachers, parents, school leadership, and other stakeholders to create a safe,

inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The role requires expertise in student counselling, behavioural support, and developing

effective counselling systems within a school.

Key Responsibilities

 Provide individual counselling and support to students facing academic, personal,

social, or emotional challenges.

 Identify students experiencing academic difficulties and develop appropriate

intervention plans.

 Conduct group counselling sessions on stress management, self-esteem, conflict

resolution, and emotional well-being.

 Support students in academic planning, goal-setting, and educational decision-making.

 Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to address behavioural concerns and

individual learning needs.

 Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.

 Identify students requiring additional support and coordinate referrals to external

professionals when necessary.

 Respond appropriately to crisis situations and maintain confidentiality of student

records.

 Develop and implement effective counselling programmes and student support





systems within the school.

 Maintain counselling records, student progress reports, and documentation as required.

 Support an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse educational and

emotional needs.

Eligibility Criteria

 Master's degree in School Counselling, Educational Psychology, or Counselling

Psychology from an accredited institution.

 Diploma in Guidance and Counselling completed through regular mode; online

diplomas will not be considered.

 Valid State/National Certification or License as a School Counsellor.

 Minimum 3 years of counselling experience in a recognised school.

 Strong knowledge of student counselling, emotional support, behavioural management,

and crisis intervention.

 Good communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.

 Proficiency in school management systems, student tracking, and record maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

 Diploma or qualification in Special Needs Education.

 Experience working as both a School Counsellor and Special Educator.

 Experience in developing school-wide counselling programmes and student support

systems.

Relocation Requirements

 Candidates must be willing to relocate to Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

 Applicants should be comfortable working in a Tier-2 city.

 Candidates should clearly indicate their relocation plans and whether they intend to

relocate alone or with family.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
