# Production Engineer ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Production Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Khalapur manufacturing facility. This entry-level role is crucial for driving daily output, ensuring quality at the source, maintaining shop-floor discipline, and managing comprehensive reporting across fabrication, assembly, painting, and dispatch operations. Reporting to the Production Head / Senior Production Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing production plans and contributing to our mission of building India's next manufacturing powerhouse. ## Department Production ## Key Responsibilities * Execute assigned daily production tasks strictly as per the Production Planning & Control (PPC) plan. * Track and report plan-vs-actual production performance on an hourly and shift-wise basis. * Promptly escalate any issues related to manpower, material shortages, or machine breakdowns to minimize delays. * Ensure rigorous in-process quality checks are performed at every stage of production. * Actively work towards reducing rework, scrap, and unplanned downtime. * Support and participate in productivity improvement and Kaizen initiatives. * Enforce strict Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and protected work practices on the shop floor. * Maintain high standards of 5S and overall shop-floor housekeeping. * Support internal and external customer audits as required. * Maintain accurate daily production logs, attendance records, and material consumption sheets. * Coordinate effectively with PPC, Stores, Design, and Quality departments on a daily basis. * Submit accurate end-of-shift and end-of-day production reports. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Education:** BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering. * **Experience:** 0 years of experience. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or diploma holders. * **Primary Skills:** * Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings. * Understanding of Bills of Material (BOM). * Basic knowledge of Welding and Fabrication processes. * Proficiency in Mechanical Assembly techniques. * Competency in MS Excel for data entry and reporting. * Understanding of Production Execution principles. * Basic knowledge of Quality Control procedures. * Aptitude for accurate Reporting. * Familiarity with Shop-floor Operations. * **Desired Qualities:** * High level of Discipline and adherence to processes. * Solid sense of Ownership and accountability.

Sundays and the 3rd Saturday of each month are off. * **Work Mode:** This is a 100% Work From Office role at our Khalapur manufacturing facility. Work From Home (WFH), Remote, or Hybrid work options are NOT permitted. This is a shop-floor / in office role requiring constant physical presence. ## Compensation Compensation will be competitive and benchmarked against industry standards, commensurate with experience and role.
