Junior Video Editor – Social Media

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor who is passionate about social media content and short-form video editing. The ideal candidate should be valuable at creating engaging reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook videos, and behind-the-scenes (BTS) content from ongoing projects and shoots.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit engaging short-form videos, reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook videos for social media platforms.
- Create and manage video content for the company's social media pages.
- Shoot and edit behind-the-scenes (BTS) content, short clips, and highlights from ongoing projects, production shoots, and office activities.
- Identify interesting moments from shoots and projects and turn them into engaging social media content.
- Create platform-specific video assets using suitable formats, aspect ratios, transitions, subtitles, music, and graphics.
- Stay updated with current social media trends, reels formats, and editing styles.
- Coordinate with the team to plan, create, and publish content consistently.
- Ensure all video content meets quality standards and is delivered within deadlines.

Requirements

- 6 months of internship experience or at least 1 year of full-time experience in video editing.




- Strong skills in editing short-form social media content, especially Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other relevant editing software.
- Positive understanding of social media trends, pacing, storytelling, music, transitions, and hooks.
- Ability to capture BTS footage and create engaging short videos from live shoots and ongoing projects.
- A creative eye for visual storytelling and the ability to identify moments that can work well on social media.
- A portfolio or showreel showcasing previous editing work is required.

Preferred Skills

- Basic knowledge of motion graphics, text animation, and sound design.
- Familiarity with Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook content formats.
- Ability to shoot videos using a camera or smartphone when required.
