# Junior Design Engineer ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineers to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in contributing to the design and detailing of cutting-edge Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Defence Systems, and Material Handling Equipment. As a Junior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for 3D modelling, 2D manufacturing drawing preparation, Bill of Material (BOM) generation, and ensuring design control under the guidance of senior engineers. This position requires a constant on-site presence at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to India's manufacturing prowess. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate exceptional accuracy in their work, an eagerness to learn, a willingness to engage directly with the shop floor, strong ownership of tasks, discipline in processes, and meticulous attention to detail. ## Key Responsibilities * Prepare precise 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or Solid Edge. * Generate accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and manage revision control entries diligently. * Maintain a low drawing error rate and ensure a disciplined revision history for all designs. * Complete assigned design tasks efficiently and on time, adhering strictly to project plans. * Strictly follow Design Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Way-of-Working documents. * Accurately and promptly update ERP system entries and design tracker records. * Regularly visit the shop floor to gain a comprehensive understanding of fabrication, assembly, and quality constraints. * Provide timely clarifications and quick design fixes to support production activities. * Coordinate effectively with Quality and Production teams for First Article Inspection (FAI) and other inspection support. * Collaborate closely with Senior Design Engineers and the Head – Design, actively seeking guidance and feedback. * Actively participate in design reviews and continuous learning sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. * Maintain a personal skill matrix and complete defined training milestones as part of career development. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Education:** Bachelor of Engineering (BE) / Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering. * **Experience:** 0 years (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply). * **Technical Skills:** * Proficiency in SolidWorks or Solid Edge for 3D modelling and assembly design. * Strong ability to create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings. * Experience with Bill of Material (BOM) generation and revision control. * Basic understanding of fabrication, welding processes, and mechanical systems.
