# Junior Fitter ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking dedicated and skilled Junior Fitters to join our team at the Khalapur fabrication and assembly facility. This entry-level role is crucial for the precise fitting, alignment, and structural assembly of mechanical systems and heavy-duty equipment. Working under the direct guidance of Senior Fitters and Production Supervisors, the Junior Fitter will contribute to ensuring all products meet stringent engineering drawings and quality standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a career in a dynamic manufacturing workplace, contributing to projects for defence, aviation, and industrial sectors. ## Key Responsibilities * Perform fitting and assembly of fabricated components in strict accordance with General Arrangement (GA) and fabrication drawings. * Execute precise alignment of structures, sub-assemblies, and moving parts. * Assist in tack welding coordination and structural positioning to ensure accurate assembly. * Support the erection of fabricated structures, ensuring stability and correct placement. * Accurately read and interpret basic 2D engineering drawings. * Follow specified tolerances and dimensional requirements under supervision. * Coordinate effectively with senior team members for clarifications and problem-solving. * Install various mechanical components including shafts, bearings, bushes, pins, brackets, and structural frames. * Ensure proper alignment and levelling of all assembled parts. * Utilize a range of measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, tape measures, spirit levels, and dial gauges with precision. * Adhere strictly to all shop-floor safety procedures and guidelines. * Maintain a clean and organized workplace following 5S principles. * Complete all assigned jobs within planned timelines, without compromising on quality or safety. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Experience:** 0 years of experience in fitting, assembly, or a related mechanical trade. Freshers with relevant vocational training are encouraged to apply. * **Technical Skills:** * Basic understanding of Fitting and Assembly processes. * Ability to interpret 2D Engineering Drawings. * Proficiency in using basic Measuring Instruments (Vernier caliper, tape, spirit level, dial gauge). * Basic knowledge of Tack Welding Coordination and Structural Positioning.
