Job Summary

We are looking for a technically competent and result-oriented Engineer / Senior Engineer – NPD & Engineering to support new product development, process engineering, tooling development, product trials, and industrialization activities. The candidate will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes, preparing quality documentation, coordinating product trials, and ensuring the smooth transition of new products into mass production.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Product Development (NPD)

· Support the complete NPD process, including drawing review, feasibility studies, prototype development, trials, validation, and product launch.

· Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and other departments to ensure timely completion of NPD projects.

· Assist in developing manufacturing processes and improving product manufacturability.

2. APQP & Quality Documentation

· Prepare and maintain APQP, PFMEA / FMEA, Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Control Plan, and PPAP documentation.

· Support process capability studies, MSA, SPC, and customer approval activities.

· Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements.

3. Forging & Process Engineering

· Assist in developing and optimizing forging processes, process parameters, and manufacturing sequences.

· Support process trials related to forging, trimming, heat treatment, machining, grinding, and finishing operations.

· Identify opportunities to improve productivity, material utilization, process efficiency, and product quality.

4. Tooling & Engineering Support

· Coordinate with the Tool Room for die, fixture, gauge, and tooling development.

· Support die trials,



tool modifications, validation, and tooling life improvement.

· Prepare and update engineering drawings, process sheets, work instructions, and technical records.

5. Continuous Improvement

· Analyze production and process-related issues and support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and other problem-solving techniques.

· Implement improvements to reduce rejection, rework, cycle time, and manufacturing costs.

· Support process standardization, cost reduction, and automation initiatives.

6. Documentation & Coordination

· Maintain NPD project records, trial reports, engineering change records, and product development documentation.

· Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to ensure successful product handover to mass production.

· Participate in customer trials, technical reviews, and corrective action activities as required.

Education & Experience

· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical or Production Engineering.

· Engineer: 2–4 years of relevant experience.

· Senior Engineer: 4–7 years of relevant experience.

· Experience in forging, hand tools, automotive components, or engineering manufacturing will be preferred.

· Working knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, PFD, Control Plan, PPAP, and process development.

· Valuable analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate: A hands-on engineering professional with practical exposure to NPD, forging processes, tooling, and manufacturing quality systems.

Pay: ₹420,000.00 - ₹540,000.00 per year
