Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically strong Account Executive who can manage end-to-end accounting operations in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in compliance, reconciliations, and e-commerce accounting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

· Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally

· Handle day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchase, expenses, journals)

· Ensure proper documentation and audit-ready records

2. Accounts Payable (AP) & Receivable (AR)

· Manage vendor payments and follow-ups

· Track receivables and ensure timely collections

· Maintain aging reports and resolve discrepancies

3. GST & TDS Compliance

· Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)

· Handle TDS deductions, filings, and reconciliation

· Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements

· Generate and manage E-way Bills via the NIC Portal India E-Way Bill System for shipment compliance

4. Bank & Payment Reconciliation

· Perform monthly bank reconciliations

· Reconcile payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, etc.)

· Identify and resolve mismatches proactively

5. E-commerce Accounting





· Reconcile transactions from Amazon & Shopify

· Track commissions, refunds, returns, and settlements

· Ensure accurate revenue recognition

6. Inventory & Costing

· Monitor inventory valuation and stock movement

· Calculate COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and margins

· Work closely with operations for stock accuracy

7. Financial Reporting

· Prepare monthly MIS reports

· Analyze revenue, expenses, and profitability

· Provide insights for cost optimization and growth

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce

· 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience (startup/D2C preferred)

· Strong working knowledge of Tally & Advanced Excel

· Good understanding of GST, TDS, and compliance

· Experience in e-commerce accounting (Amazon/Shopify) is a MUST

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· High attention to detail and ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in skincare, FMCG, or D2C brands

· Familiarity with inventory-heavy businesses

· Exposure to financial planning and budgeting
