Job Summary

Durga Developers is looking for experienced and technically proficient Senior Civil Engineers / Senior Civil Managers to oversee construction projects, manage site operations, supervise contractors, and ensure projects are completed according to approved plans, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of civil engineering systems, construction methodologies, structural drawings, estimation, project planning, and relevant civil engineering software. The candidate should be capable of independently managing site activities, coordinating with architects and consultants, and handling end-to-end construction execution.

Roles and Responsibilities1. Construction and Site Management

- Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure smooth execution of residential and commercial building projects.
- Manage site operations from foundation work to structural construction, finishing, and project handover.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion according to project schedules and milestones.
- Supervise site engineers, supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve construction-related issues.

2. Civil Engineering and Technical Execution

- Interpret and review structural drawings, architectural drawings, working drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure proper execution of RCC works, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing activities.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, MEP consultants, and other technical teams.
- Identify technical discrepancies and resolve site-level engineering challenges.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved designs, engineering standards, and applicable building regulations.
- Verify measurements, levels, alignment, dimensions, and structural execution at every stage.

3. Project Planning and Execution

- Prepare construction schedules, work plans, and daily or weekly progress reports.
- Track project milestones and take corrective action to prevent delays.




- Coordinate procurement and ensure the timely availability of construction materials.
- Monitor resource utilization, labour productivity, and contractor performance.
- Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and project cost control.
- Report project progress, challenges, expenses, and resource requirements to senior management.

4. Quality Control and Safety

- Ensure construction quality through regular inspections and adherence to approved specifications.
- Check the quality of concrete, steel, cement, aggregates, and other construction materials.
- Coordinate concrete testing, material testing, and other quality assurance activities.
- Implement site safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
- Identify construction defects, recommend corrective measures, and prevent rework.
- Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and relevant project documentation.

5. Contractor and Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, suppliers, architects, consultants, and project management teams.
- Review contractor work progress, measurements, and bills before recommending approvals.
- Conduct site meetings to discuss project progress, technical concerns, and pending activities.
- Resolve coordination issues between different teams to ensure uninterrupted construction.
- Communicate project requirements, deadlines, and quality expectations clearly to all stakeholders.

6. Senior Civil Manager Responsibilities

- Take ownership of overall site execution and ensure that construction objectives are achieved.
- Lead and mentor junior civil engineers, site supervisors, and technical teams.
- Review project schedules, cost estimates, material requirements, and execution strategies.
- Monitor multiple construction activities simultaneously and prioritize critical tasks.
- Evaluate project risks, anticipate delays, and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure accountability among site teams and contractors for quality, safety, productivity, and timelines.
- Provide regular project updates and technical recommendations to company management.




- Support project handover by ensuring completion of pending works, rectification of defects, and proper documentation.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction systems.
- Practical experience in RCC structures, foundations, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, billing, rate analysis, and material calculations.
- Experience in construction planning, project scheduling, cost control, and site execution.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, construction safety, and applicable building standards.
- Ability to manage contractors, labour teams, vendors, and site engineers.

Required Software Knowledge

- AutoCAD: Reading and reviewing civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
- MS Excel: Estimation, BOQ, billing, material tracking, and project reporting.
- MS Project or Primavera P6: Construction scheduling, planning, and progress monitoring.
- STAAD.Pro / ETABS: Understanding structural analysis and design outputs, where applicable.
- Revit / BIM tools: Basic understanding of coordinated drawings and building models, where applicable.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with software relevant to their previous projects and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in building construction, real estate, or construction project execution.
- Demonstrated experience handling site execution and coordinating construction teams independently.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to join immediately or within a short notice period.

- Technically strong in civil engineering systems and construction execution.
- Capable of managing site operations independently with minimal supervision.
- Experienced in handling contractors, labour, material procurement coordination, and project deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, and committed to safe construction practices.
- Comfortable working on-site in Hubli and coordinating directly with management.
