Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Commi 1 – Chinese Cuisine to join the kitchen team at a concept bar & restaurant in Kalyani Nagar, Pune.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Chinese and Indo-Chinese cuisine, including wok cooking, starters, noodles, fried rice, gravies, sauces, stir-fries, mise-en-place, and live service. The ideal candidate should be fast, disciplined, hygienic, and able to maintain consistency in taste and presentation during busy restaurant and bar operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare Chinese and Indo-Chinese dishes including starters, noodles, fried rice, gravies, stir-fries, and accompaniments.
- Handle wok cooking confidently during live service.
- Prepare and maintain sauces, marinades, vegetables, garnishes, and section mise-en-place.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, quality, and presentation.
- Follow standard recipes and instructions from the CDP / Sous Chef / Head Chef.
- Support smooth kitchen operations during lunch, dinner, events, and late-night bar service.
- Maintain proper storage, labelling, FIFO, and stock rotation.
- Follow hygiene, cleanliness, grooming, and food safety standards at all times.
- Keep the wok station, refrigerators, utensils, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Inform senior chefs about low stock, spoilage, wastage, breakage, or equipment issues.




- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely order execution.
- Assist in opening, closing, cleaning, and preparation duties.
- Support junior kitchen staff and helpers when required.

Candidate Requirements:

- Prior experience as Commi 1, Commi 2, Chinese Cook, Wok Cook, or Kitchen Associate preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of Chinese / Indo-Chinese cuisine.
- Comfortable with wok handling, high-flame cooking, sauces, noodles, rice, starters, and gravies.
- Experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel, cloud kitchen, or similar commercial kitchen preferred.
- Should be able to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service.
- Must be clean, punctual, disciplined, and team-oriented.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays, split shifts, and late-night operations.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel/relocate to Kalyani Nagar, Pune.

Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
