Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Collator to review author responses to copyeditor queries and verify author corrections. The role involves carefully checking whether author queries have been appropriately addressed, ensuring that corrections have been accurately incorporated, and confirming that the content complies with the prescribed style specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review author responses to copyeditor queries and verify that each query has been appropriately addressed.
- Check author corrections against the original content and ensure that the intended changes have been accurately incorporated.
- Verify that author responses and corrections are clear, relevant, and consistent with the context of the content.
- Identify unresolved, incomplete, or inappropriate responses and flag them to the PM for further response.
- Check that corrections do not introduce current errors, inconsistencies, or formatting issues.
- Ensure author responses and corrections are structured and presented in accordance with the prescribed style specifications.
- Verify names, dates, figures, terminology, references, and other content elements where changes have been made.
- Cross-check corrections within the content to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Follow established collation workflows, processes, and quality standards.




- Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure all copyeditor queries and author corrections have been addressed appropriately.
- Flag issues requiring further clarification or editorial intervention.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency while handling high volumes of content.
- Complete assigned work within defined turnaround times and quality targets.
- Collaborate with editors and relevant teams to resolve content-related queries.

Required skills:

- Excellent command of written English and strong comprehension skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong proofreading and author review skills.
- Ability to understand and evaluate author responses in the context of editorial queries.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, omissions, errors, and unresolved queries.
- Strong understanding of grammar, style, and editorial conventions.
- Ability to work systematically within editorial tools.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Willingness and ability to learn and efficiently handle other editorial tasks.
- Prior experience in copyediting, collation, proofreading, or quality assurance is preferred.
