# Production Supervisor ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking a highly motivated and disciplined **Production Supervisor** to lead daily shop-floor operations at its state-of-the-art Khalapur manufacturing facility. This critical role involves executing production plans, meticulously allocating resources, ensuring stringent in-process quality, and enforcing shop-floor discipline across fabrication, assembly, painting, and pre-dispatch stages. The Production Supervisor is directly accountable for achieving production targets, maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring safety compliance, and accurate reporting. We are looking for a hands-on, accountable leader with a calm, firm, and decisive shop-floor presence, deeply committed to "First Time Right" and "On Time Delivery," and possessing strong communication skills. ## Key Responsibilities * Execute daily production plans across fabrication, assembly, painting, and pre-dispatch stages, ensuring timely completion. * Strategically allocate manpower, machines, and tooling on a shift-wise basis; meticulously track hourly plan-vs-actual performance. * Proactively identify and escalate manpower, material, machine, or design-related issues in real time to minimize disruptions. * Enforce "First Time Right" execution and rigorous in-process quality checks at every stage of production. * Coordinate seamlessly with the Quality Control (QC) department for stage-wise clearances and effective rejection control. * Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on shop-floor defects and drive the implementation of effective corrective actions. * Supervise and guide a diverse team of fitters, welders, painters, electricians, and hydraulic technicians on shift. * Enforce strict adherence to attendance, punctuality, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, uniform policy, and overall shop-floor discipline. * Conduct regular shift briefings, daily huddles, and provide essential on-the-job training to enhance team capabilities. * Ensure unwavering compliance with PPE regulations, safe-work practices, and lockout-tagout discipline. * Drive 5S methodology, maintain impeccable housekeeping, and implement effective shop-floor visual management. * Support internal, ISO, and customer audits by maintaining audit-ready bay discipline and documentation. * Maintain accurate daily production logs, attendance records, reason-for-delay reports, and comprehensive end-of-shift handovers. * Update ERP / MIS entries with utmost discipline and accuracy. * Actively participate in daily and weekly production reviews, contributing insights and solutions. ## Required Skills & Qualifications ### Education * BE / BTech in Mechanical or Production Engineering. ### Experience * Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in shop-floor supervision within heavy engineering or capital equipment manufacturing.
