Job Description

Cubes International Logistics is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Operations Manager – Freight Forwarding to join our growing team in Kochi. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage daily operational activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end import and export shipments across sea freight and air freight.
- Handle FCL, LCL, and air cargo shipments, including booking, documentation, tracking, and delivery coordination.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, transporters, overseas agents, and customers.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including HBL/MBL, AWB, Shipping Bills, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Monitor shipment milestones, vessel schedules, cargo movements, and delivery timelines.
- Resolve operational issues, shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and customer escalations.
- Supervise daily activities of the operations team, allocate tasks, and monitor productivity.
- Support the Operations Manager in reporting, performance monitoring, and process improvement.
- Monitor operational costs, service quality, and compliance with company procedures.




- Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Robust knowledge of end-to-end import and export procedures.
- Practical experience in sea freight, air freight, FCL, and LCL shipments.
- Good knowledge of shipping documentation and customs-related procedures.
- Prior team-handling or supervisory experience will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and logistics-related software.
- A degree or diploma in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
