# Quality Control Inspector ## Role Overview Nandan GSE is seeking a highly disciplined and accurate **Quality Control Inspector** to join our team at our Khalapur facility. This hands-on role is critical for enforcing stringent quality discipline across all stages of manufacturing – incoming material, in-process, and final inspections. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in measuring, verifying, recording, and proactively preventing defects, contributing directly to our goal of achieving zero-defect manufacturing. **Department**: Quality Control **Reporting To**: QC Engineer / Head – Quality Control ## Key Responsibilities * Execute incoming material, in-process, and final inspections strictly as per defined inspection plans. * Proficiently utilize a range of measuring instruments including Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial gauges, and bore gauges. * Accurately verify dimensions, surface finish, weld quality, and ensure adherence to dimensional tolerances. * Identify and document defects at the earliest possible stage, reporting findings promptly to the QC Engineer and supervisors. * Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and reinspection requests in accordance with established processes. * Actively support the implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions. * Maintain meticulous records by accurately filling out check sheets and inspection reports. * Manage and maintain calibration records for all gauges and ensure proper gauge labelling. * Contribute to audit readiness by ensuring all quality records are clean, complete, and easily accessible. * Verify that all measuring tools and gauges are calibrated and within their validity period. * Ensure clear identification and segregation of accepted and rejected parts to prevent mix-ups and labelling errors. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control inspection, preferably in fabrication, machining, or industrial equipment manufacturing. * **Education**: Relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience. * **Technical Skills**: * Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, dial gauge, bore gauge).



* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Proven capability in defect identification and reporting. * Experience with NCR raising and managing reinspection requests. * Proficiency in accurate documentation and preparing inspection reports. * Knowledge of calibration records maintenance. * Direct experience with QC inspection in fabrication, machining, and industrial equipment manufacturing environments. * **Soft Skills & Desired Qualities**: * Highly disciplined and meticulous with a robust commitment to accuracy. * Comfortable and effective working in a shop-floor environment. * Takes immense pride in contributing to zero-defect manufacturing. * Demonstrates excellent attention to detail in documentation. * Possesses the physical stamina required for shop-floor operations. * Exhibits a strong ownership mindset towards quality outcomes. ## Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have Skills) * Familiarity with welding inspection techniques and standards. * Experience in actively supporting corrective and preventive action initiatives. * Prior involvement in preparing for and supporting quality audits. ## Work Culture & Expectations At Nandan GSE, we foster a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement.
