We are looking for an experienced Data Governance & Data Quality Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for an ongoing data management and analytics project.

The role focuses on improving data quality, establishing governance standards, maintaining data integrity, and supporting data preparation and reporting processes using Alteryx, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Tableau.

The requirement is approximately 2 hours of support per day, with the possibility of extending working hours depending on project requirements.

This is not a full time employment opportunity. We are specifically looking for professionals with practical, real-world project experience who can troubleshoot data issues, implement quality controls, and provide technical guidance based on hands-on expertise.

Technologies

Candidates should have practical experience with several of the following technologies:

- Data Governance: Data policies, governance frameworks, metadata management, data ownership, and data lineage.
- Data Quality: Data profiling, validation, cleansing, standardization, deduplication, and quality monitoring.
- Data Preparation & Automation: Alteryx Designer, Alteryx workflows, and automated data processing.
- Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
- Data Visualization: Tableau dashboards, reports, calculated fields,



and data source management.
- Data Integration: ETL/ELT processes, data mapping, source-to-target validation, and data reconciliation.
- SQL & Databases: SQL queries, data analysis, validation rules, and data integrity checks.
- Reporting & Monitoring: Data quality metrics, exception reports, issue tracking, and dashboard-based monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assess data quality across multiple sources and identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing values.
- Develop data profiling, cleansing, validation, and transformation workflows using Alteryx.
- Support cloud-based data quality and data management processes using GCP and BigQuery.
- Define and implement data quality rules, KPIs, thresholds, and validation checks.
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation and investigate data discrepancies.
- Maintain metadata documentation, data dictionaries, business definitions, and data lineage records.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to monitor data quality metrics and governance KPIs.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and engineering teams to improve data reliability.
- Document workflows, validation results, governance processes, and issue-resolution procedures.





Required Experience

- Professional experience in data governance, data quality engineering, data management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation, cleansing, and workflow automation.
- Working knowledge of GCP data services, particularly BigQuery and cloud-based data processing.
- Experience creating Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, profiling, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality dimensions, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and work independently in a remote environment.
- Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience implementing enterprise data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with data quality dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, uniqueness, and timeliness.
- Experience automating data validation and exception reporting.
- Knowledge of data cataloging, master data management, and business glossary management.
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
