We are looking for a creative, responsible, and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer to support our Head Designer in day-to-day design development, sampling, and production coordination. The ideal candidate does not need to be an expert fashion designer but should have basic knowledge of garment construction, stitching, fabrics, and fashion trends. The primary responsibility is to understand the Head Designer's instructions and ensure that samples are developed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities - Design Assistance: Follow design briefs, instructions, and corrections provided by the Head Designer. -

Sampling Coordination: Coordinate with pattern masters, tailors, and the finishing team to ensure timely sample development.

- Sample Follow-ups: Track sampling progress, communicate required alterations, and ensure corrections are implemented properly. -

Mood Sheets & Design Records: Maintain and update mood boards, design sheets, fabric references, and sampling details.

- Garment Understanding: Assist with fabric selection, silhouettes, measurements, fitting, stitching details, and garment finishing.

- Quality Checking: Check completed samples against design requirements before presenting them to the Head Designer.

- Task Management:



Maintain daily sampling updates, follow up on pending work, and ensure assigned deadlines are met.

Skills Required - Basic understanding of fashion designing, stitching, garment construction, and fabrics.

- Good fashion sense, colour coordination, and understanding of current trends.

- Ability to understand design instructions and communicate them clearly to masters and tailors. - Basic knowledge of measurements, garment fitting, and finishing.

- Organised, proactive, and capable of handling multiple sampling tasks.

- Basic knowledge of Excel, Canva, or design software is an advantage.

- Freshers with practical garment knowledge.

- Candidates with experience in sampling, garment development, or boutique coordination.

- Individuals interested in learning and growing under an experienced Head Designer. Important:

We are not looking for a senior or independent fashion designer. We need a hands-on assistant who can efficiently execute instructions, coordinate with the sampling team, and support the Head Designer throughout the design development process.
