# Plant Head ## Role Overview nandan GSE is seeking an experienced and dynamic **Plant Head** to lead and manage all aspects of our plant operations. This senior leadership role is critical for ensuring efficient production, stringent quality control, adherence to safety standards, and overall operational excellence. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results. **Work Location:** Khalapur (Onsite) **Job Type:** Full-time ## Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and effectively. * Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. * Manage plant budget, resources, and capital expenditures to ensure financial health and operational efficiency. * Ensure strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies. * Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across various departments, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D;, Sales, and Supply Chain, to achieve company goals. * Maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction through robust quality assurance processes. ## Day-to-Day Activities * Conduct daily production meetings to review performance, address operational challenges, and plan for upcoming shifts. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality metrics, safety incidents, and cost efficiency. * Oversee resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and machinery, to optimize production schedules. * Engage with department heads (Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR)



to ensure seamless inter-departmental coordination and problem resolution. * Address immediate operational issues, implement corrective actions, and drive root cause analysis. * Participate in strategic planning sessions, budget reviews, and forecasting activities. * Conduct regular plant walk-throughs to ensure compliance with safety protocols, identify improvement opportunities, and maintain operational discipline. * Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and employee engagement. ## Required Skills & Qualifications * **Experience:** 20+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing and plant management, preferably in a heavy engineering or similar industry. * **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial), Business Administration, or a related field. * **Primary Skills:** * Plant Operations Management * Production Planning and Control * Quality Assurance and Control Systems * Supply Chain Management * Lean Manufacturing Principles * P&L; Management and Financial Acumen * Exceptional Team Leadership and People Management * Strategic Planning and Execution * Budget Management and Cost Control * Robust Safety Management Systems * **Soft Skills:** * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams. * Results-oriented with a strong drive for continuous improvement. ## Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have Skills) * Master's degree or advanced certification in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, Operations Management). * Proficiency in Continuous Improvement Methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, Kaizen). * Experience with Vendor Management and supplier relationship optimization.
