Job Overview

IIM SKILLS is looking for an experienced Business Analytics & Advanced Excel Trainer to train students in using Excel and business analytics for real-world business decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Advanced Excel, financial modelling, business analysis, and forecasting, along with the ability to explain concepts through practical examples and case studies.

The role focuses on helping students develop analytical skills and apply data-driven approaches to solve business problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Business Analytics fundamentals, business functions, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Train students in problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
- Deliver practical training in Advanced Excel, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, and Pivot Tables.
- Explain data cleaning and data preparation techniques.
- Teach financial modelling, revenue and cost modelling, and profitability analysis.
- Cover break-even analysis and unit economics.
- Train students in scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and forecasting.
- Use real-world business cases and datasets to demonstrate analytical concepts.
- Guide students in interpreting data and making informed business decisions.
- Help students apply Excel and analytics techniques to practical business problems.





Required Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Analytics, MIS, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), Consulting, or Data Analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel and its practical business applications.
- Valuable understanding of business functions, KPIs, and analytical problem-solving.
- Practical knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to beginners.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience creating business dashboards, financial models, and management reports.
- Experience delivering training or mentoring students and professionals.
- Ability to teach through practical exercises, datasets, and real-world business scenarios.

Compensation

₹1,000–₹1,200 per teaching hour.
