Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to manage day-to-day production and operational activities.

The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower allocation, production targets, inventory management, production yield, wastage control, quality control, procurement, cost optimization, order fulfilment and operational reporting.

The role will also involve coordination with labour teams, vendors, branches, e-commerce operations and senior management to ensure smooth operations, optimum resource utilization and consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Operations

- Prepare daily and weekly production plans based on customer orders, demand and stock availability.
- Set daily production targets and monitor actual production against planned targets.
- Ensure timely production, packing and dispatch of products.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, raw materials and other resources.

2. Manpower & Team Management

- Plan manpower requirements according to production schedules.
- Allocate duties to production workers and labour teams.
- Monitor workforce productivity, attendance and task completion.
- Coordinate with labour teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Prioritize urgent orders and ensure timely preparation and dispatch.

3. Production Yield & Wastage Control

- Monitor raw material consumption, production output and production yield.
- Analyze production variations and identify reasons for losses.
- Control raw material, product and operational wastage.
- Implement measures to improve productivity and resource utilization.
- Ensure cost-effective production without compromising quality.

4. Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor opening stock, closing stock, raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock verification.
- Monitor branch-wise stock transfers and stock reconciliation.
- Coordinate stock replenishment based on production and sales requirements.
- Identify shortages, excess stock, discrepancies and expiry-related losses.

5. Order & E-commerce Management

- Monitor Amazon orders and ensure timely order processing.
- Coordinate product availability, order preparation, packing and dispatch.
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely fulfilment.
- Coordinate with production and inventory teams for order requirements.
- Maintain accurate order and dispatch records.

Costing, COGS & Financial Reconciliation

- Prepare and monitor COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) calculations.
- Monitor product and production-related costs.
- Reconcile stock transfers and stock values between branches.
- Verify operational transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Provide accurate costing and operational information to management.

7. Quality Control & Food Safety

- Monitor product quality at different stages of production.
- Collect milk samples and conduct/coordinate milk-fat testing.
- Ensure hygiene, sanitation and proper product handling practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and quality requirements.
- Implement GMP and food safety practices.
- Identify quality deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain quality and testing records.

8. Procurement & Vendor Management

- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, reliability and delivery performance.
- Compare vendor quotations and source materials at competitive prices.
- Coordinate procurement of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Follow up on purchase orders and deliveries.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Maintain effective vendor relationships.

9. Cost Optimization & Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs and operational wastage.
- Optimize manpower, inventory, procurement and resource utilization.
- Monitor production yield, wastage and operating costs.
- Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising product quality.

10. Documentation & MIS Reporting

- Maintain production schedules, stock registers, inventory records and order records.
- Prepare daily production and inventory reports.
- Track production output, yield, wastage and order fulfilment.
- Report operational issues, discrepancies and corrective actions to management.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation.

11. CEO & Senior Management Coordination

- Assist the CEO with daily operational activities and business requirements.
- Provide regular updates on production, inventory, procurement, costing and order status.
- Coordinate with different teams to implement management decisions.
- Support operational planning, cost-control initiatives and continuous improvement activities.





Educational Qualification

B.Tech – Food Technology is mandatory.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Dairy, Food Processing or related production operations.

Salary

₹25,000 per month CTC
Annual CTC: ₹3.00 LPA
