About the Role
The Business Development Associate is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. You will identify and qualify new leads, build and maintain relationships with potential partners and clients, and support the end-to-end sales cycle. This role involves regular in-person interaction with clients and stakeholders to expand Upcykal's presence in the e-waste and sustainability ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, prospect, and qualify new leads to build a robust sales pipeline




• Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners and clients
• Conduct market research on trends, competitors, and customer needs
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
• Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and maintain accurate records in CRM/tracking tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proposals, negotiations, and growth strategies

Requirements
• Minimum 6 months of sales experience (B2B inside sales or similar)
• Proven lead generation skills — prospecting, qualifying, and pipeline management
• Market research ability to analyze trends, competitors, and customer needs (sustainability/recycling sector a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with targets, metrics, and CRM tools
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru with a genuine interest in environmental sustainability
