About NS Accounting
NS Accounting is a growing UK accounting practice supporting around 1,400 clients.
We’re focused on using technology and automation to make accounting operations more effective. Our current stack includes Capium, Karbon, Xero, Zoho Sign and n8n, and we’re building automations across tax filings, administration, data pipelines and internal workflows.
We’re looking for a Full or Part-Time Automation Engineer who enjoys solving real operational problems and building reliable, production-ready automation.
What You’ll Do
• Build browser automations using Playwright and develop API integrations to automate filings and administrative processes across our accounting platforms.
• Analyse how web applications work behind the scenes including network requests, internal APIs and HAR files to create reliable automations rather than relying solely on UI interactions.
• Build,
maintain and improve n8n workflows.
• Maintain ETL pipelines that move operational data into our data warehouse.
• Build reverse ETL processes to sync warehouse data back into business systems such as Karbon.
• Write tests, create pull requests and clearly document the systems and automations you build.
• Design reliable integrations end-to-end, including data flows, error handling, safeguards and monitoring.
What We’re Looking For
Essential experience:
• TypeScript or Node.js
• Playwright or Puppeteer
• REST APIs and webhooks
• n8n or similar workflow automation platforms
• Git and GitHub
• Automating web applications through internal APIs, not simply clicking through screens
• ETL pipelines and databases we currently use PyAirbyte, dbt and PostgreSQL
• Reverse ETL and syncing warehouse data back into operational/business tools
• Designing reliable integrations and production automation
