1. DESIGN & ENGINEERING ANALYSIS

Assist in developing the civil and structural designs of RCC & Steel structures for substation buildings,

equipment support structures, and precast/cast-in-situ components of lattice structures.

Perform design calculations and structural analysis under guidance for cable tunnels, cable trenches, duct banks, manholes, and associated underground utilities.

Prepare and review foundation designs for critical outdoor yard equipment such as surge arresters, power transformers, and Static VAR Generators (SVG).

Contribute to structural calculations and model development for equipment-supporting lattice structures.

Prepare detailed civil layouts, construction-ready drawings, documentation, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and Bill of Materials (BOM).

Verify that designs align with standard design practices, national/international safety regulations, and project-specific requirements.

2. COORDINATION & COLLABORATION

Work closely under the guidance of Senior Engineers and collaborate with electrical engineering teams and other disciplines to deliver unified and highly protected technical solutions.

Coordinate with site project execution and construction teams to resolve basic design clarifications and on-

site technical bottlenecks.

3. TECHNICAL SUPPORT & PROJECT TRACKING





Support senior staff in tracking project scopes, preparing initial engineering estimates, technical quantities, and tracking engineering delivery schedules.

Assist in reviewing vendor drawings, equipment technical specification datasheets, and manufacturer- submitted civil design details.

Compile design inputs and documentation packages collected from clients, site surveyors, and technology

vendors.

4. CORE TECHNICAL SKILLS & SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

Proficiency in Design Tools: Strong hands-on operational knowledge of AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and

ETABS is mandatory.

Engineering Principles: Solid foundational understanding of civil and structural engineering principles,

load distributions, concrete design, and steel detailing.

Codes & Standards: Familiarity with relevant industrial standards, IS codes, and international structural

design codes applicable to electrical substations.

5. ADDITIONAL OPERATIONAL TASKS

Participate in documentation updates and technical alignment meetings with vendors.

Support the engineering team in technical evaluations of vendor offerings during pre-award stages.

Maintain proper document control logs, revising drawings based on client feedback or inter-disciplinary

checks.
