Qualification: B.F.Tech / B.Des from NIFT, or B.Des from NID
Role Summary
Lead the design function for home textile collections, from concept to sampling, ensuring products are on-trend, market-ready and aligned with client and brand requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop seasonal collections across bedding, bath and related home textile categories
• Create print and woven designs, including colorways, repeats and placements
• Prepare product mock-ups and visualizations for client approval
• Build and deliver client presentations, trend stories and range plans
• Support branding and packaging design suggestions for product lines
• Prepare accurate tech packs with specifications, construction details and trims
• Manage the sampling process, coordinating with mills, vendors and the merchandising team, and track approvals and corrections
• Research global trends, colors and fabrics to keep collections fresh and competitive
• Guide and mentor junior designers
Skills Required
• Strong command of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign (CAD/textile design software a plus)
• Sound knowledge of fabrics, yarns, weaves, finishes and printing techniques
• Experience in export or buyer-facing design work
• Positive presentation, communication and coordination skills
• Eye for color, detail and market trends
