Chandigarh University is looking for an experienced and dynamic qualified for the position of Director / Associate Director – Events with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in event management, planning, and execution. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise in managing large-scale institutional events, conferences, seminars, cultural festivals, corporate events, and high-profile university functions.
Key Responsibilities• Plan, organize, and execute large-scale university events, conferences, seminars, cultural festivals, convocations, and corporate gatherings.
• Lead end-to-end event management, including budgeting, logistics, vendor coordination, venue management, and on-ground execution.
• Develop annual event calendars aligned with the university’s objectives and branding.
• Coordinate with internal departments, faculty, students, external agencies, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage event teams,



delegate responsibilities, and ensure smooth execution within established timelines and budgets.
• Oversee event production, stage setup, audiovisual arrangements, hospitality, guest management, and protocol.
• Establish and maintain relationships with event management agencies, vendors, industry partners, and sponsors.
• Monitor event performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements for future events.

Eligibility Criteria• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in event management, event planning, and execution.
• Proven experience in independently managing large-scale events, preferably in a university, educational institution, corporate organization, or event management company.
• Strong leadership, team management, budgeting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple events
