Description
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Engineer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in purchasing castings, stamping, bought-out items, machining parts, and plastic parts and will have 3-5 years of experience in purchase , supply chain management, preferably in a submersible pump and motor industry setting.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement• Purchase castings, bought-out items, machining parts, and plastic parts: Purchase materials, components, and services from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze and resolve purchasing issues: Analyze and resolve purchasing issues, including supplier disputes, quality problems, and delivery delays.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies: Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Supplier Management• Build and maintain supplier relationships:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness of purchased materials.
• Negotiate contracts: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and quality.
• Manage supplier performance: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal expectations.
Technical Expertise• Provide technical expertise: Provide technical expertise to the procurement team and internal stakeholders on purchased materials, including castings, bought-out items, machining parts, and plastic parts.
