Job SummaryFuture Volt LLP is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer with experience in solar photovoltaic (PV) system design, electrical engineering, and technical documentation. The candidate will be responsible for developing optimized, cost-effective solar designs and coordinating with project, procurement, and execution teams to ensure successful project delivery.

- Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop solar PV systems for rooftop and ground-mounted projects, including residential, commercial and industrial Scale installations.
- Prepare solar plant layouts, module layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Perform solar energy generation estimates, shadow analysis, and performance simulations using PVsyst.
- Carry out DC and AC system design, including string sizing, cable sizing, inverter selection, and equipment sizing.
- Prepare electrical designs for LT/HT systems, transformers, switchgear, earthing, and lightning protection.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), BOQ, technical specifications, design calculations, and project documentation.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments to identify site constraints and optimize system layouts.
- Coordinate with project execution, procurement, and sales teams to finalize designs and equipment specifications.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning,



and resolution of site-related design issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS/IEC standards, project specifications, and relevant DISCOM and grid-interconnection requirements.
- Review drawings, identify design discrepancies, and incorporate revisions based on project requirements.
- Support preparation of technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender-related engineering documents.
- Required QualificationsB.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in solar PV design, preferably with a solar EPC company.
- Experience in MW-scale solar projects is preferred.
- Technical SkillsAutoCAD: Preparation of layouts, SLDs, and electrical drawings.
- PVsyst: Energy yield estimation and performance simulation.
- Electrical Design: DC/AC systems, string sizing, cable sizing, inverter selection, LT/HT systems, and transformer sizing.
- Documentation: BOM/BOQ preparation, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
- Additional Advantage: Knowledge of SketchUp, Helioscope, ETAP, substation design, and transmission line engineering.
- Desired Candidate ProfileStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical drawing skills.
- Good understanding of solar PV components and electrical design principles.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites whenever required.
