Job Title: Home Caregiver / Patient Caretaker / GDA

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
2. Help patients with eating, drinking, and daily activities as required.
3. Support bedridden patients with repositioning and comfortable positioning.
4. Assist patients with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and mobility.
5. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the patient.
6. Help prevent bedsores by repositioning patients as instructed in the care plan.
7. Observe and report changes in the patient's condition to the family and supervisor.
8. Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly patients.
9. Follow the patient's diet instructions and feeding precautions.
10. Assist with toileting, diaper changes,



and basic patient hygiene.
11. Follow infection prevention, handwashing, and safety procedures.
12. Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional behaviour during duty.
13. Record and report important care activities and incidents.
14. Inform the SVT office immediately about emergencies, patient concerns, or difficulties during duty.

Significant: Caregivers must not independently administer injections, change prescriptions, perform nursing procedures, or give medicines outside their authorised role and training.
