SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION

### Qualification & Experience

* B.Com / CA Inter

* 3–4 years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance

* Candidates with prior experience in a *CA Firm / Chartered Accountant Firm* will be preferred.

* Experience in *Insurance Broking, Technology or Advisory businesses* will be an added advantage.

* *Department:* Accounts & Finance

* *Reporting To:* Finance Head / CFO

* *Coordination With:* Management, Auditors, Tax Consultants and Internal Departments

* *Team:* Accounts & Finance Team

### Key Responsibilities

* Handle complete accounting and bookkeeping activities, including day-to-day accounting entries.

* Prepare and maintain *MIS reports* for Insurance Broking, Technology and Advisory businesses.

* Perform *Bank Reconciliation, Ledger Reconciliation and other account reconciliations*.

* Prepare *monthly and quarterly financial statements* and management reports.

* Prepare and maintain *Cash Flow Statements and Fund Flow Statements*.

* Prepare *GST workings*, including GST reconciliation and return-related data.

* Pass and verify *GST set-off / utilisation entries* and ensure proper accounting of GST liabilities and input tax credit.

* Handle *TDS workings, deductions, payments and related reconciliations*.

* Perform *Tax Reconciliation* and reconcile tax balances with books,



returns and relevant statutory records.

* Assist in *finalization of accounts* and preparation of financial statements.

* Ensure proper accounting of *income, expenses, receivables, payables and other transactions*.

* Review ledgers and identify accounting discrepancies and necessary adjustment entries.

* Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for *audit, taxation and statutory compliance*.

* Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

* Assist in *month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities*.

* Support management with financial data, analysis and *ad-hoc MIS requirements*.

### Required Skills

* Robust knowledge of *accounting principles and financial reporting*.

* Good working knowledge of *GST, TDS and taxation*.

* Strong experience in *MIS preparation, reconciliation and financial reporting*.

* Knowledge of *GST set-off entries and tax reconciliation*.

* Ability to prepare *Cash Flow and Fund Flow Statements*.

* Working knowledge of *Tally / ERP and MS Excel*.

* Strong understanding of *monthly and quarterly financial reporting*.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage accounting activities.

* Good communication, coordination and analytical skills.
