Job Summary

We are hiring a Storekeeper to manage plumbing and firefighting materials, tools and equipment at our construction site. The candidate must be comfortable using a computer and Excel to maintain accurate stock records and coordinate material requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive materials and check quantities, specifications and visible condition against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Record shortages, damage and incorrect supplies and report them immediately.
- Prepare material receipt records / GRNs and coordinate technical inspection with the site engineer.
- Issue materials only against authorized requests and record the recipient, quantity and work location.
- Maintain daily inward, outward, return, transfer and stock balance records.
- Track delivery challans, purchase order references, pending deliveries and supporting documents.
- Monitor stock levels and alert the site engineer about shortages and upcoming requirements.
- Organize materials by item,



size and specification with proper identification and storage.
- Track tools and equipment issued to workers and follow up on returns.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile differences with recorded balances.
- Monitor damaged, unused, excess and scrap materials and arrange authorized returns or disposal.
- Prepare daily or weekly stock reports using Excel or company software.
- Maintain housekeeping, protected stacking and controlled access to the store.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience handling stores or inventory at construction sites.
- Computer and Excel skills are mandatory, including data entry, sorting, filters and basic formulas.
- Familiarity with plumbing and firefighting pipes, fittings, valves, accessories and tools preferred.
- Ability to identify material sizes, count quantities and maintain accurate records.
- Understanding of delivery challans, purchase orders, GRNs and material issue slips.
- Good coordination with suppliers, procurement staff and site teams.
- Minimum qualification: 12th pass; graduate / diploma preferred.
- Honest, organized and responsible with company materials.
