ob Title: Tool and Die Maker

We are looking for a skilled Tool and Die Maker with hands-on experience in tool assembly, conventional machine operations, drawing interpretation, and inspection. The candidate must take responsibility for getting jobs completed at supplier premises within the required quality and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, fits, and tolerances.
- Perform tool and die assembly, fitting, alignment, and troubleshooting.
- Independently operate conventional machines, including surface grinding, milling, lathe, and drilling machines.
- Inspect components and assemblies using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments.
- Visit suppliers to explain requirements, follow up on manufacturing progress, and get jobs completed on time.
- Inspect components at supplier premises and verify conformity with approved drawings before dispatch.
- Identify defects and dimensional deviations,



coordinate rework, and verify corrections.
- Maintain inspection records and communicate progress clearly to the internal team.

Mandatory Skills and Requirements

- Hands-on tool assembly and fitting skills.
- Practical operating experience in all four: surface grinding, conventional milling, lathe, and drilling.
- Strong engineering drawing-reading and inspection skills.
- Positive understanding of machining processes, fits, tolerances, and surface finishes.
- Good communication and supplier coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to supplier premises.
- Must own a bike and hold a valid driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality and timely completion.

Qualification

ITI in Tool and Die Making, Diploma in Tool Engineering, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
