Technical Sales and Operations Lead – 3D Bioprinters
Location: Recent Delhi, India
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Founders and Management
About NITS EngineeringNITS Engineering is a biomedical technology company building the next generation of biomedical devices, in vitro disease models, and engineering systems for drug discovery, regenerative medicine, and diagnostics. We combine precision hardware engineering with biomedical research to build the tools that take science from the lab bench to real world application.
About the RoleWe are looking for a technically proficient and execution-oriented professional to manage the sales and production coordination of our 3D bioprinters. The role combines technical sales and business development with hands-on operational management, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into orders and that printers are built and delivered within agreed timelines.
You will engage with prospective customers, understand their technical requirements, conduct product demonstrations, prepare proposals, and drive sales opportunities. In parallel, you will coordinate printer builds, manage vendors and procurement, track tasks and deadlines, and resolve bottlenecks affecting production and delivery.
This role requires someone who can work independently across customer-facing and engineering activities, take ownership of deliverables, and ensure that both commercial opportunities and ongoing builds progress to completion.
What You Will Do
- Technical Sales and Business Development: Identify and develop opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, research institutions, universities, and other relevant customers. Manage enquiries, follow up on leads, and drive opportunities towards closure.
- Customer Consultation and Product Demonstrations: Understand customer requirements, explain the capabilities and applications of our 3D bioprinters,
and coordinate product demonstrations and technical discussions.
- Proposals and Commercial Coordination: Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and commercial offers. Coordinate negotiations, follow up on purchase orders, and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Production Planning and Tracking: Coordinate individual printer builds, define tasks and milestones, assign responsibilities, establish completion dates, and track progress against delivery commitments.
- Vendor and Procurement Management: Coordinate with suppliers, fabrication vendors, and component manufacturers. Track purchase orders and delivery schedules, ensure component availability, and resolve delays, quality issues, and specification mismatches.
- Bottleneck Resolution: Identify dependencies, resource constraints, component shortages, and technical issues affecting production. Coordinate with the relevant teams and vendors to resolve outstanding issues and minimise delays.
- Assembly and Delivery Coordination: Work with engineering, electronics, controls, and software teams to coordinate assembly, integration, calibration, testing, and delivery of completed printers.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Translate customer requirements into actionable inputs for engineering and coordinate internally to ensure that product capabilities, delivery timelines, and customer expectations are aligned.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain sales pipeline records, quotations, BOMs, procurement trackers, build schedules, and delivery status reports.
Keep management informed of sales progress, production risks, and outstanding actions.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience across technical sales, manufacturing operations, project execution, or technical product management.
- Experience selling or supporting technically complex products, preferably scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, machinery, automation systems, or 3D printers.
- Practical experience coordinating physical product builds, procurement, vendors, assembly, or delivery schedules.
- Ability to understand technical requirements, communicate product capabilities, prepare commercial proposals, and manage customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to track tasks and deadlines, follow up with internal teams and external vendors, and resolve issues that delay delivery.
- Robust communication, negotiation, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a small, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3D printing, bioprinting, biomedical devices, or laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with mechanical assemblies, electronics, pneumatic systems, or electromechanical products.
- Experience selling capital equipment to pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, universities, or research laboratories.
- Familiarity with BOMs, engineering drawings, procurement systems, and project tracking tools.
Why Join
- Take ownership of both the commercial growth and operational execution of advanced 3D bioprinting systems.
- Work directly with the founders and engineering teams in a growing biomedical technology company.
- Contribute to bringing cutting-edge bioprinting technologies from development to commercial adoption.
