Role Description The Staff Nurse role is a full-time, in office position based at Almas Hospital in Kottakkal.

The Staff

Nurse will provide comprehensive, safe, and compassionate nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and documenting care accurately.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, supporting patients and families with clear communication and education, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and infection control standards.



The role also involves preparing and maintaining patient rooms and equipment, participating in multidisciplinary care planning, and responding promptly to patient needs and emergencies.

Staff

Nurses are expected to contribute to a calm, respectful, and patient-centered environment aligned with the hospital’s mission.

Qualifications

- Valid nursing qualification (GNM/BSc Nursing) and current registration with the relevant nursing council.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and basic life support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection prevention practices, and safe handling of medical equipment.
- Ability to work full-time in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Experience in general medicine, surgery, or critical care is an advantage; prior work in a hospital setting preferred.
