The job: Make the creator economy impossible to ignore.

Most social media accounts post content.

We want to build an account people actually want to follow.

The creator economy is full of interesting people, absurd incentives, questionable advice, overnight success stories and people who call themselves thought leaders after 3 LinkedIn posts.

Someone should probably document all of this.

That's where you come in.

At HashFame, we're building a professional network for creators. We want to build a strong media presence around the people, culture and contradictions of the creator economy.

You'll be the face of our Instagram account. You'll find the stories, write the scripts, get in front of the camera, shoot, edit and publish. You'll figure out what works, what doesn't, and why.

You won't be handing briefs to five different people and calling yourself a content strategist.

You'll be the entire content team. At least to begin with.

What you'll actually do

1. Have an unhealthy curiosity about the internet

Know what's happening in the creator economy before it becomes a marketing trend deck.

Understand creator culture, internet humour, emerging formats, memes, audience behaviour and the difference between something that's genuinely funny and something a brand's social media manager thinks is funny.

Observe people. Notice contradictions. Find the story hiding inside an ordinary conversation.

You should be able to look at something everyone else takes for granted and ask, "Wait, isn't that a little ridiculous?"

2. Turn observations into content

Come up with ideas worth watching.

Write sharp scripts. Find the hook. Cut the fluff. Build a punchline without announcing that a punchline is coming.

Develop recurring formats, characters, series and original IP around creators and their lives.

Some content should make people laugh. Some should make them think. The best pieces will do both.

We're not looking for someone who can put a trending audio over a stock video. We're looking for someone who can create a format people recognise before they see the username.

3. Be the face of HashFame

You'll appear on camera and develop a distinct on-screen personality.

Think observational, reflective and deadpan. Funny without performing funny. Opinionated without being loud. Smart without sounding like you're giving a TED Talk.

You don't need to be a trained presenter. You do need to be comfortable being seen, heard and occasionally disagreed with.

Your personality is part of the product.

4. Own production from start to finish The work doesn't end when the script is approved. There is no committee waiting to take it from here.

You'll own

- Ideation and research.
- Scriptwriting, hooks and story structure.

- Shooting and on-camera delivery.
- Editing, pacing, subtitles, sound and packaging.
- Captions, covers, publishing and distribution.
- Reviewing performance and improving the next piece.

You'll learn to make good content with the equipment and resources available. A phone, a decent microphone and a valuable idea should get you surprisingly far.

5. Build an account, not a content calendar

Our six-month ambition is to build meaningful organic reach and a recognisable presence among creators.

That means publishing consistently, experimenting with formats, studying retention, understanding shares and saves, and figuring out why one video travelled while another died quietly at 417 views.

You'll use data without letting data kill your instincts.

Views matter. So do repeat viewers, shares, follows per reach and whether people remember the account.

You'll be expected to have a point of view on what we should make next, backed by both observation and evidence.

What we're looking for

- You've scaled at least one social media account. Not just posted on one. We want evidence that you helped grow an account from one stage to another.
- You can show receipts. Starting audience, ending audience, time period, standout content, and what you personally did to drive growth.
- You understand Instagram as a medium, not merely an app you spend four hours a day on.
- You can write. Cleanly, sharply and with a sense of rhythm.
- You have a good eye for editing, pacing, framing and storytelling.
- You're comfortable on camera and willing to make yourself the face of the account.
- You notice things. The best content often begins with paying attention to something most people walk past.
- You can work independently, take feedback without getting precious about your ideas, and keep shipping when a few posts underperform.
- You are willing to learn every part of the craft, including the unglamorous ones.

We care more about demonstrated ability than degrees, prestigious employers or years of experience.

What this job is NOT

Let's get this out of the way.

This is not a glamorous job where you attend events, take pictures with creators and put "storyteller" in your bio.

There will be days when you rewrite the same 30-second script eight times.

There will be videos you love that nobody watches.

There will be edits that take longer than the shoot. There will be ideas that look brilliant in your head and deeply average on screen.

You will need to find things to shoot, shoot them, edit them, publish them and do it again tomorrow.

Nobody is going to hand you a perfectly formed content strategy every Monday morning.

The job is to make the strategy better by doing the work.

If you want to be around content, this probably isn't for you.

If you want to get very good at making content, keep reading.

What success looks like In your first 30 days: You understand the audience, develop a strong pipeline of ideas, establish repeatable production workflows and start testing formats.

By 90 days: We have identifiable content formats, a consistent publishing engine and clear evidence of what's earning attention. You're getting faster and making better creative decisions.

By six months: HashFame has a meaningfully larger organic audience, stronger reach, recognisable formats and a distinct voice in the creator economy.

We'll set specific growth targets together based on the starting point. We won't pretend that virality can be scheduled for Thursday.

The kind of person who will thrive here

You're probably early in your career. You spend time on the internet, but you don't just consume it. You analyse it.

You can explain why a mediocre video got 2 million views and a beautifully produced one got 2,000.

You have opinions about content, but you're willing to test them.

You're funny in a way that doesn't require everyone to know you're trying to be funny.

You'd rather make ten things and learn than spend three weeks perfecting a presentation about making things.

And you understand that creative instinct is an advantage. Execution is what makes it useful.

How to apply

Send us

1. Your best work: Links to the social accounts you've worked on, with your specific contribution.
2. Proof of growth: Starting followers, ending followers, timeline, reach growth and examples of content that drove it. Screenshots or analytics are welcome.
3. Your three best pieces: The ones that demonstrate your taste, writing and execution.
4. One original idea: A 30–60 second Instagram Reel concept about something interesting, absurd or overlooked in the creator economy. Include the hook and a rough script.
5. A short introduction: Tell us why you'd be good at this. Please don't send us a cover letter that sounds like it was generated by a corporate HR department.

A small portfolio with real results beats a large portfolio with impressive adjectives.

HashFame is building for creators. Help us tell their stories in a way the internet actually cares about.
