Opportunity: We are seeking a technically strong, hands-on Senior Test Engineer (FinOps & Cloud Infrastructure) to drive quality assurance, automation, and validation of our infrastructure financial intelligence capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong software testing expertise with a solid understanding of data center infrastructure, cloud technologies, resource utilization, and cost economics. This role requires technical ownership, analytical depth, and the ability to validate complex infrastructure data, financial calculations, and optimization models within an enterprise-grade software platform.

Responsibilities

- Own functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of FinOps and infrastructure cost management capabilities.
- Validate cost collection, allocation, chargeback/showback, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization recommendations.
- Test infrastructure usage and cost data across cloud, Kubernetes, CPU/GPU compute, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
- Verify pricing models, cost calculations, resource utilization metrics, financial projections, savings estimates, and reporting accuracy.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated API, UI, database, and data-validation tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate data ingestion,



aggregation, reconciliation, and accuracy across multiple infrastructure and cloud data sources.
- Identify calculation discrepancies, data inconsistencies, integration defects, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Engineering teams to improve test coverage, reliability, and overall product quality.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, quality assurance, and test automation.
- Strong expertise in API, UI, integration, database, and data-validation testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, pytest, Postman/Newman, or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data center and cloud infrastructure attributes, including compute, CPU/GPU utilization, memory, storage, networking, power consumption, cooling, capacity, resource allocation, and workload performance.
- Good understanding of FinOps principles, cloud financial management, pricing, billing, cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud resource metering, utilization metrics, and cost drivers.
- Ability to interpret and validate infrastructure telemetry, operational metrics, usage data, and their impact on cost calculations and optimization recommendations.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating complex datasets, numerical calculations,



and analytical reports.
- Experience developing automated tests within CI/CD workflows.
- Robust analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to numerical and financial accuracy.
- Ability to independently own testing deliverables and work effectively in a fast-paced product engineering environment.

Preferred Skills

- FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience testing cloud cost management, billing, infrastructure management, or FinOps platforms.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud billing datasets, usage metering, cost allocation models, and infrastructure financial analytics.
- Exposure to AI/GPU infrastructure economics, power and cooling cost models, workload-based costing, and cost-per-unit calculations.
