Company Description Bhavi Plast Pvt Ltd is a long-established engineering company that designs, builds, and commissions corrosion-resistant equipment for process plants across India and internationally. The company specializes in wet scrubbing systems, dust collection systems, high-efficiency blowers, ducting, exhaust systems, and a wide range of FRP and dual-laminate chemical storage and process tanks. All systems are process-simulated, engineered to international standards such as BS EN 13121 and ASME Section X RTP-1, and tested in-house at its Mankoli, Bhiwandi plant before shipment.

The team frequently develops custom solutions based on client gas analysis and site constraints, providing sized proposals and performance curves for demanding applications.

Role Description: The Senior Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Mankoli, Bhiwandi. This role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and improving QA/QC processes for FRP, dual-laminate, and thermoplastic equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and executing inspection and test plans, supervising in-process and final inspections, monitoring material quality, and maintaining detailed quality records and reports.

The engineer will lead internal quality audits, support external client and third-party inspections, investigate nonconformities, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. The role also involves collaborating with design, production, and commissioning teams to resolve quality issues, support continuous improvement, and mentor junior quality personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect incoming raw materials (FRP resins, PP/HDPE sheets, steel, motors, blowers, pumps, gaskets, fasteners) against approved specifications, and accept,



hold or reject them
- Monitor in-process fabrication, welding, lamination, lining and assembly, checking dimensions, thickness, joints and finish against approved drawings
- Catch defects at the stage they occur to reduce rework and rejection
- Conduct stage-wise and final inspection, and release equipment for dispatch only when all checks and documentation are complete
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports (IR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), calibration records, test certificates and the client quality dossier / data book
- Coordinate with production, vendors, clients, consultants and third-party inspectors, and act as the plant's point of contact for inspections and customer audits
- Handle client complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, client specifications and statutory requirements, and keep SOPs and checklists current
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track and reduce rework, rejection and wastage
- Maintain calibration of measuring instruments and train shop-floor teams on SOPs and inspection methods
- Report quality metrics to management regularly

Qualifications:

Must-have:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical or Production Engineering
- 4–8 years of QA/QC experience in fabrication, FRP / PP / HDPE equipment manufacturing or the EPC industry
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Hands-on experience with inspection methods, measuring instruments and quality documentation (IR, NCR, test certificates)




- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and customer audit requirements

Preferred:

- Experience in air pollution control equipment, ducting, chimneys, scrubbers, blowers, tanks or chemical process equipment
- Additional certification in Quality Management, ISO 9001 or NDT
- Experience handling client and third-party inspections
- Experience with RCA and CAPA tools
- Some experience guiding or training a small team of inspectors or shop-floor staff
